Youth LEAD "Home for the Holidays" 11-20-14

In an effort to provide bonus coverage, Team Observer joins with the SCIT Youth LEAD Department and the Saginaw Chippewa Youth Council at their annual “Home for the Holidays” event.  The warmth of community packed the Eagles Nest Tribal Gym and enjoyed a superb Thanksgiving Feast lovingly prepared by SECR Chefs Betty Riddle and Shaun McGee and the Food & Beverage staffers.

Master of Ceremonies Ronnie Ekdahl and Youth Council Representative Kenson Taylor ran the festivities through a “pin the nose on the snowman” contest, a musical “turkey leg” game and drew door prize tickets for poinsettias and holiday centerpieces.

 

“This is an opportunity for our Youth LEAD staff to recognize the support the families of the Tribe and community have given our programs,” Youth LEAD Director Jennifer Crawford explains.  “The smiles and laughter were all over the gym last night … everyone was truly showing the spirit of the holidays!”
