Native Farmers Market is ready for lunchtime crowd 9-6-16

Joseph V. Sowmick - September 06, 2016

In an effort to provide bonus coverage, Team Observer made another Tuesday morning journey across the street from Tribal Operations to see all the downhome goodness that is available at the Native Farmers Market on September 6.  A veritable cornucopia of fresh vegetables, fruits, homemade desserts, pies and other goodies await you as you get your plans set for lunch.

Nimkee Public Health Educator and REACH Grant Coordinator Brandon Schultz was on hand to welcome former Nimkee Public Health Clinic Educator Leah Markel and her CMU College of Health Professions students as they looked at all the Native Farmers Market offers.

“Now that we have had the unofficial end of summer with Labor Day, the hours of the Native Farmers Market have been trimmed to 10 am to 2pm,” Schultz said.  “Lots of fresh produce to get you through your meals this week and enough for preserving as well.  Come on out and enjoy the remaining summer weather and all the Native Farmer’s Market has to offer.”

Schultz also mentioned they are ready for the lunch time crowd and if you haven’t had a chance to check it out this summer, now is the time to do so.
