On Wednesday October 7, 2015 the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe along with the Soaring Eagle Water Park and Hotel and the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort have teamed up and are very happy to be able to make a contribution toward alleviating the current water situation in the city of Flint.
Fredrick Kuhlman, Marketing Manager for the Soaring Eagle Water Park and Hotel has reached out to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan’s director, Kara Ross and they have agreed to accept roughly 1000 cases of bottled water.
Two trucks will leave Mt Pleasant around 9:00 a.m. filled with the bottled water. It is our hopes to arrive at the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan located at 2312 Lapeer Road around 10:45 a.m. “The main focus of this donation is to bring relief to the people of Flint and perhaps make a difference with the gift of (Biish) water”, stated Tribal Chief, Steve Pego.
