Eric McDonald, Sr. age 62 of Grand Rapids, Michigan died Sunday, July 8, 2012 in Grand
Rapids. Eric was born on March 9, 1950 in Shelbyville, Ml, the son of George and Maudeline
Sprague McDonald. Jr.
Funeral services for Eric will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Chippewa Indian United
Methodist Church at 11 :00 AM. Rev. Owen White-Pigeon and Rev. Sam McClellan will officiate.
Interment will be in Denver Township Cemetery following the services. The family will receive friends
at the Chippewa Indian United Methodist Church on Friday after 2:00 pm and on Saturday until the
time of services
Eric was married to Shirley McDonald who preceded him in death in 2006. He worked for
General Motors and retired in 2006. Eric enjoyed hunting, fishing, jewelrywork and especially his
family.
Eric is survived by his children, Eric McDonald, Jr. of Grand Rapids, Autumn McDonald of
Northport, Bob Sells of Traverse City, and Steve Wonegeshlk of Suttons Bay; 8 grandchildren;
brothers and sisters, James McDonald, Jonle Abella, Lorna Concle, John McDonald, and Barbara
McDonald. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a sister, and two brothers.
